A Team
Our A team are through the quarter final of the Munster Junior Cup. We played Carew Park on Sunday and the match ended 2 all after extra time. McMenamin and Lipper on the scoresheet. We won 9 – 8 in the penalty shootout. Well done team and management.
U15 Granville 1 v Aisling Annacotty A 2
The U15As kept up their title challenge with a hard-fought win away to Granville. We were short several key players due to a combination of injuries, confirmation and rugby but, not for the first time, the strength in depth of this squad helped us to get over the line. On a heavy, grassy pitch that made good football difficult, we were the dominant team in the first half with Rian McBrierty, Tom Marsden and Dara Costelloe all going close. However, Granville took the lead against the run of play when ex-Aisling player Lee Park got some space in the box to drive home a low shot. We upped the tempo in the second half but with Jack Foley going close from a corner and a great McBrierty shot coming back off the crossbar, it looked like it could be one of those days. However, we finally got the breakthrough with 20 minutes left, a great ball by Mark Collins sent Costelloe away and his cross was finished home by Marsden. Straight from the kick-off we won the ball back again and this time Paul Brennan was first to react in the box to score with a right foot shot. Marsden was unlucky to have a second ruled out on a tight offside call as the lads saw the game out in the second half.

U3 Aisling Annacotty – 1, Nenagh – 0
Our under 13’s are through to the final of the South West Regional Cup after a 1-0 victory away to Nenagh. Alex Carragher got the goal.
Coffee Shop
The coffee shop was very welcome in the Arctic conditions on Saturday. Open every Saturday morning from 10am – 1pm.
Table Quiz
The club is holding a fundraising event on Friday 3rdMarch at 7.30pm in Castletroy Park Hotel. Promises to be a great night with many prizes and spot prizes.
