Aisling Annacotty A 1-0 Kilmallock A
The girls had a great home win over a strong Kilmallock side with Siobhan McMahon scoring the match winner for Aisling. The win leaves the girls with a chance to win the league if final game results go their way.
Three of our U12 girls were selected after the U12 ETP trials. Congratulations to Isabella Collins, Amy Tierney and Ellie Madden on making the county squad and we wish them the best in their upcoming games.

Girls U18s
Aisling Annacotty 6-1 Murroe
History was made Sunday evening when our U18 girls completed their season with a 100% record, to clinch the club’s first ever underage girls league title. With Murroe also unbeaten, the first 20 minutes were a nervy affair, as we struggled to get our passing game going. With the pacy Cara Griffin up front, there was always the possibility of Murroe grabbing the lead, but our back four of Bronagh Kelly, Charlie Hanrahan, Jade O’Connor and Sarah Cleary marshalled the threats well. Emma Costelloe stood out at this stage, consistently playing probing passes behind the Murroe defence, and also firing off two long-range efforts that zinged past the post. With Rachel O’Dell and Emma Donoghue also growing in influence, we gradually started to get on top, and forced Murroe to concede a string of corners. Conceding corners is never a good option against us though, with left and right-footed Emmas swinging them in with laser-guided accuracy. And sure enough, it was from a corner that the deadlock was broken, as O’Dell arrived late on the far post, to power a header from 10 yards out, to the back of the net. The goal settled us, and a few minutes later, Nicole Lammond and Taylor McEvoy combined well down the right, and slid the ball in to Aisling Kennedy on the edge of the “D”. She swivelled away from her marker and smacked a beauty to the corner of the net, leaving the keeper no chance. In the second half it was all Annacotty, and it was no surprise when Donoghue fired a low shot to the net from 20 yards. The goal of the game came on 60 minutes when Emma Costelloe flicked the ball over the head of her defender, controlled the dropping ball, made a yard of space and drilled it to the bottom corner from 16 yards. Next it was Laoise Ní Aodha, on the field just 2 minutes, drifting in at the back post to finish a Donoghue cross to the net. Goalie Abby McCarthy had little to do all night, but pulled off a fine save on 75 minutes, pushing a powerful shot wide of the goal. Unfortunately, Griffin of Murroe was quickest to react and slammed the rebound to the net. Any chance of a comeback was snuffed out however, when O’Dell slalomed past multiple defenders and picked her spot from 15 yards. Youngsters Susan O’Shea, Amy Costelloe, Aisling Doran, Alicia O’Callaghan and Ide Ní Ifearnáin came on for the last 15, with no drop in quality, auguring well for the future. At the final whistle, captain Bronagh Kelly proudly stepped up to receive the trophy for this team of “invincibles”. In a statement of intent though, coach Ronan Hanrahan was adamant that champagne would be held on ice until after the cup competition. Congratulations to all the girls on an outstanding season!
U16 Girls Limerick County ETP
Aisling Annacotty had the most girls selected for the U16 Limerick County ETP squad who had a very successful trip to the Viking Cup tournament held last Thursday and Friday in Waterford. Well done to Laoise Ní Aodha, Alicia O'Callaghan, Abby McCarthy, Emma Costelloe, Sarah Cleary, Amy Costelloe, Sarah Hall and Aisling Doran.

Our A team had a 1 -0 away win in the Premier League over Fairview Rangers. Darren Harrington on the scoresheet.
Our 13A boys team had a 3-2 victory over Shelbourne Park at the weekend.
