Match reports

Our A Team had 2-0 win away to Holycross in Limerick Junior Premier League.
Sosuke Kimura with a shot from 18 yards and Keith Mawdsley with a great run and finish into the bottom left corner.

The U15A's maintained their 100% started to the season with 2 hard earned results this week away to Janesboro and Newport.
Pearse Stadium was the venue on Monday evening when goals in either half by Jack O'Connor and Kai Joyce proved the difference between the teams. A fine display by the home goalkeeper had kept Aisling at bay denying both Adam Cummins and Darragh Murray with some brave saves while Joyce saw a superb individual effort come back off the crossbar. Eventually however the breakthrough came with O'Connor firing home after a great run down the left wing. The second came in a similar manner when Joyce slipped inside the fullback to slot calmly beyond the keeper to seal the points.

Saturday saw the team return to action in Newport. Despite playing the better football and creating the bulk of chances Aisling trailed at the break. A defence splitting pass from Evan O'Leary put Kai Joyce through and his unstoppable finish put us level before a second defensive lapse had us trailing at the break. A second half display of character and guts however turned the game around with Kai Joyce delivering a man of the match performance with a sublime solo effort and a clinical finish to a Mark Murphy exquisite pass in the final moments deciding the game.

Well done to everyone in a week which tested our full panel, with a special shout out to Kai Joyce, Shane O'Grady, Conor Arthur and Mark Murphy for their performances.
