Our club Aisling Annacotty AFC are hosting this annual tournament for boys and girls at the U10 and U11 age groups in support of Barnardos on Sunday 22 May 2016 in University of Limerick. 8 teams from Munster are taking part in the tournament. This is a tournament that many of our players and coaches have been involved in over the last 8 years and has been an important date in the soccer calendar each year.
As you may be aware, Barnardos is Ireland ’s leading children’s charity. Each year they work with children and families throughout Ireland . Barnardos also raises issues through their advocacy programme to make Ireland the best place in the world for all children in Ireland . Barnardos responds to the real difficulties of families. They meet children’s needs, providing services that challenge disadvantage, and offer new hope for children’s futures.
We are looking to see if you have any contacts who would be interested to support Barnardos in the tournament programme for this event . All proceeds from this event are going directly to Barnardos (Charity No: 6015).
This is an extremely beneficial cause and is a wonderful opportunity to support. Many people will be working, all voluntary, to ensure the success on the day.
Even if you know of anyone who would like to make a smaller donation to Barnardos this would also be most welcome and would be acknowledged in the tournament programme. Barnardos will issue an official receipt for all monies received.
