Our A Teamhad a 3 – 1 win over Kilmallock United in the PJ Matthews Premier League. On the score sheet were Kimura, Mawdsley and an own goal.
Our Under 15Ateam have started the Season with 2 well-earned wins starting with a difficult away trip to Caherdavin. Always a tricky fixture the team showed great character when Caherdavin cancelled out goals from Jack O'Connor and Eoghan Burke to level the game ten minutes from time but goals from Shane O'Grady and Adam Cummins sealed a hard earned and deserved victory. This was followed up by a home game against Regional Utd who in recent years have proven a tough challenge for AAFC. A blistering start had us 3-1 up after 15 minutes with goals from Kai Joyce, Ronan O'Dwyer and Darragh Murray before an unfortunate O.G. further rattled the visitors. A second goal by Darragh Murray just before half time effectively killed the game as a contest and goals from Robert O'Sullivan, Mark Murphy, Chris Nwanko and Adam Cummins sealed the victory.
Special mention to our new squad members Alex Keehan, Jack O'Connor, Conor Arthur, Kai Joyce, Ronan O'Dwyer and Colm McElwain our new net minder! Best wishes to all for the rest of the season and to the players who have moved on to new clubs.
