Our A team defeated Prospect Priory to get through to the last 16 of the Munster Junior Cup. Well done and best of luck in the next round.
Under 17 AislingAnnacotty 5 Janesboro 4
In the U17 Division 2, Aisling Annacotty U17Bs had a great win over second-in-the table Janesboro on the Astroturf pitch at Annacotty on Sunday morning 15th January 2017.
Brendan O'Brien suffered a blood injury early on, prior to Janesboro taking the lead after 20 minutes. Frank Spillane equalized with a well taken goal on the stroke of half-time. Goalkeeper Tommy Canty swapped positions with striker Brendan O'Brien during the interval and Janesboro went 2-1 ahead shortly after the restart. Tommy Canty made it 2-2 shortly afterwards. After a great first half, David Leahy was sent off 10 minutes into the second half for an accidental handball on the goal line and Brendan O'Brien made a terrific save from the resulting penalty. Tommy Canty scored two super goals to complete his hat-trick to leave it 4-2 for Aisling. Brendan O'Brien brilliantly saved a second penalty before Janesboro brought the score back to 4-3. Jack Considine put Aisling further ahead with an excellently placed shot to make it 5-3 but Janesboro scored again to bring the score to 5-4 to Aisling with just ten minutes remaining. 10-man Ashling battled on in every position for a very well-deserved win in this very exciting encounter which had everything for the spectators.

Aisling Annacotty Under 13 A
Aisling Annacotty under 13 A's will this Saturday 28th January play their SFAI National Cup, last 32 match against Evergreen Football Club from Kilkenny City in Annacotty at 2pm. The players have prepared very well for the match and would welcome all support they can get in Annacotty at 2pm Saturday. Best of Luck to our under 13's as they embark on their biggest match of the season so far.
