Aisling Annacotty Weekly Newsletter – Last Chance to Book Mid Term Break Soccer Camp next week

Girls U18s

Kilmallock 0-2 Aisling Annacotty

Our U18s girls got their season off to a wining start with a 2-0 win away to Kilmallock in the LWSSL U18s league on Sun 23rd Oct. Despite creating the more chances Aisling were held scoreless at half time. Kilmallock threatened on occasion but fine defending by Bronagh Kelly and Sarah Cleary kept them out. In the second half we took control of the game and Nicole Lammond made the breakthrough score. Kilmallock pressed hard for an equaliser – but were caught on the break by Emma Donohoe who slotted a great score past the keeper. Well done girls on a great start to the league campaign.

U15A

The U15As continued their strong start to the season with an emphatic league win at home to Corbally on Saturday. With Joey Ryan and Dara Costelloe causing the visitors all sorts of problems down the left flank the goals weren’t long in coming. Paul Brennan (2), Dara Costelloe, Mark Collins, Rory Murphy and Sean O’Shea all scored to give us a commanding half time lead. We continued to create chances in the second half with Rory Murphy and Caimin Ayres adding to the tally before Corbally got a late consolation score. Next up is a difficult National Cup assignment away to our great rivals Regional Utd.

Player of the Year Awards

Congratulations to Jake Dillon (U14) and John Ryan (U12) who were selected as the LDSL Player of the Year for the 2015/2016 Season. Congratulations also to Mark Collins who was awarded his FAI coaching licence.
