Junior B
Our Junior B team recorded a good win over Hill Celtic Hill Celtic 3 – Aisling Annacotty 4
U14A Team:It has been a good week for the U14A team who are chasing honours on two fronts. First up was a very closely contested game against Regional in the league in Annacotty. There was very little to separate the sides but a superb performance in goals by Sam Den Dikken and a first half strike by Sean Fahy was enough to give us three valuable points. On Friday night, we were at home again to Pike Rovers in the cup quarter-final. We conceded early but the lads showed great character to claw their way back into the game and two second half strikes from Sean O’Shea including a stunning free kick five minutes from full time was enough to send us through to the semis. We were in action again in the league on Monday against the Aisling Bs. Goals by Paul Brennan, Sean O’Shea, Mark Collins and Dara Costelloe gave us the points in a game in which both teams played some fine football.
Under 12 Premier Cup– Aisling Annacotty 3, Regional United 1. Aisling Annacotty faced Regional United in the Under 12 premier Cup last Friday evening in Crescent College minus some injured players aiming to follow up on the big win they had over Regional the previous week in the League. Regional were ready for our challenge and started very well in this Cup Match and had some good possession before John Ryan opened the scoring for Aisling on 5 minutes. Darragh Murray scored on 15 Minutes to give us a 2 nil lead at half time. Oisin Williams scored a third goal at the start of the second half however Regional pulled back a goal on 50 mins. Regional played the better football for the final 10 minutes and gave the Aisling defence a good test for the final 10 minutes as they pushed hard to get back in the game. Thankfully Annacotty held on for a great away win and now look forward to welcoming our neighbours Lisnagry to Annacotty in the Semi Final of the Cup.(Aisling Annacotty Team: Stephen Kiely, Ben Hayes, Oisin O’Connor, Darren Nwankwo, Alex Carragher, John Ryan, Mark Kinsella, Oisin Williams, Darragh Murray, Finn Durack, Muiris O’Dailigh, Sean O’hAodha)
